Ford Motor Company provides for your new Mercury vehicle a basic Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty, as well as extended coverage for the Powertrain and Safety System and protection against corrosion perforation. There is also specific warranty coverage for the Emissions System.
And for your security, your new Mercury comes with improved Roadside Assistance coverage.
The following is a brief summary of the new warranty coverage. If you'd like to download the complete warranty guide and get a full description of what is covered and what is not covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, click here.
During coverage periods, authorized Ford Motor Company Dealers will repair, replace or adjust parts on your vehicle that are defective in factory-supplied materials and workmanship. Refer to the Warranty Guide for conditions that are not covered by the New-Vehicle Limited Warranty.
Your Bumper-to Bumper Coverage lasts for 3 years unless you drive more than 36,000 miles before 3 years elapse. In that case, your coverage ends at 36,000 miles.
Your vehicle's Powertrain components are covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first. The extended coverage applies to the Engine, Transmission, Front-Wheel Drive and Rear-Wheel Drive. For specific component coverage within Powertrain, please refer to the Warranty Guide.
Your vehicle's safety belts and airbag Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) are covered for an extended Safety Restraint Coverage Period, which lasts for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
Your vehicle's body sheet metal panels are covered for an extended Corrosion Coverage Period, which lasts for five years, regardless of miles driven. The extended warranty coverage only applies if a body sheet metal panel becomes perforated due to corrosion during normal use due to a manufacturing defect in factory-supplied materials or factory workmanship.
Ford Motor Company provides for the 2009 Mercury Mariner Hybrid a basic Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty, as well as extended coverage for the Powertrain and Safety Restraint System and protection against corrosion perforation. In addition, the Mariner Hybrid's unique components - high-voltage battery, electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (CVT) and the DC/DC converter - are covered for eight years or 100,000 miles (whichever occurs first). Note: Some components may also be covered by the Emissions Warranties.
And for added security, your Mariner Hybrid is covered by the complimentary Ford Roadside Assistance Program, which begins at the warranty start date and lasts for five years or 60,000 miles (whichever occurs first.)
