Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive System (AWD)
Get enhanced traction when you need it most. Whether the road is filled with gravel, covered with ice or soaked by rain, AWD, optional on both Sable models, helps provide more sure-footed traction. AWD is fully automatic, which means it instantly delivers traction to the wheels needing it the most when wheelslip is detected.
Sable also features standard Traction Control, which improves vehicle traction and steering control without sacrificing dry-pavement performance. It allows progressive braking to be applied at each wheel to transfer torque from slipping wheels to the wheels that have traction.

SOS Post Crash Alert System
Sable is equipped with an emergency notification system. In the event of an airbag deployment or safety belt pretensioner activation, the Post Crash Alert System** activates the horn and emergency flashers to let others know you need emergency assistance. The system may be deactivated by simply pushing the key fob.
**SOS hardware may become damaged or the battery may lose power in a crash, which could prevent operation. Not all crashes will activate an airbag or safety belt pretensioner.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System
You no longer have to guess whether the tire pressure is low. When the tire pressure goes below the recommended tire inflation level (excluding spare tire), a warning lamp is displayed along with a corresponding notification in the message center.

Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
ABS helps prevent wheel lockup during hard braking conditions. When computer-controlled sensors indicate wheel lockup during hard braking, the four-channel ABS electronically pumps the brakes several times per second. As a result, this system helps you maintain steering control.

Security Features
With features such as these, peace of mind comes standard. A Keyless Entry Keypad located on the driver’s-side door lets you lock and unlock the door or unlatch the trunk when you enter a security code.
With a touch of a button on the remote keyless entry, you can unlock and lock your doors, as well as open the trunk, from up to 33 feet away. An added security feature is the panic alarm button that can alert others to possible emergencies.
The SecuriLock® passive anti-theft system is designed to help prevent the engine from being started unless an electronically coded key is used to start the vehicle. A flashing light indicates the system is armed, adding a visual deterrent to would-be thieves.
